We have been falling behind on our Spy Chick Of The Month updates, so here’s a good one that should hold you over for a while. You may recoginize her from the tire comercial where a car comes to a road block, and a group of thugs yell at the driver over a megaphone “give us your tires, or your life.” The driver then throws this chick(Bar Refaeli) out of the car and drives away, assuming that the gang was asking for his tires or his ”wife.” Needless to say, if you like tires that much, your odd.

It is very important for a game when it comes to delivering a great driver shot right off from the start in golf. This means that having the ability to give a clean and straight driver hit below the middle of the fairway would give all the other golfers a hard time of beating you in the course of the game. If you do not know how to hit a straight driver, you are jeopardizing your chances of positioning well in your game. It is very important to know how to be consistently good with straight driver hits, and here is a simple tip on how to hit your driver straighter.

Usually when using a big club right off the bag, it is important not to think that hitting hard would land your shots where you want to. Being big, the club is heavy, and this would create extra momentum and force with the lightest swing, hitting the ball with high power. Many golfers have this mentally which is totally wrong, and they should not go hard using big clubs. It is best to learn how to control your swing when using a big club and that alone would make you see major improvements in your hits.

A lot of golfers usually do very well throughout a game, and somehow manages to lose it all when it comes to a time to deliver a good driver shot to pass down the fairway somewhere along the back nine.

First of all, what you need to do is practice on a light and easy swing, but it has to be fluid. In time you would get a hang on the flow of the light swing, and this would deliver a nice impact on the ball, which would reduce the side-spin which causes the ball to swerve. With just this simple one tip, you would see the difference in making your driver straighter.

The U.S. Golf Manufacturers Anti-Counterfeiting Working Group reports that on May 20, 2010, the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau (PSB) issued formal arrest warrants charging two shop owners with selling counterfeit golf equipment at the Shanghai Longhua Apparel Market.

PSB officers conducted simultaneous raids of three golf stores, A Liang Golf, Hao Bei Golf and Orient Golf, and seized more than 630 counterfeit golf clubs, 1,540 counterfeit golf balls, and a number of counterfeit accessories from the golf stores and the shop owners’ residences. The seized goods were illegal copies of authentic products made by all of the Group’s members.

According to information provided to the PSB by the Anti-Counterfeiting Group, the retail stores also conducted online sales of golf equipment through Taobao.com. In an attempt to retrieve the sales records of the online stores, PSB officers visited Taobao headquarters in Hangzhou shortly after the retail store raids. Records indicate that since the opening of the three online stores one year ago, sales of counterfeit golf equipment totaled approximately $30,000. The PSB has now frozen the accounts of the three “online” shops. This enforcement action was conducted after complaints were filed with PSB by the Anti-Counterfeiting Group.

Caddyshack Painting, A Great Father’s Day Gift

Looking for something other than a new tie for your dad this year for Father’s day? Artist David O’Keefe offers up a little Caddy Shack work that even Bill Murray has a copy of. Here is what David had to say about his inspiration:

“The original painting was a commissioned piece for Steve Garske, the CEO of Par Aide, who wanted all the characters from the movie in one painting. Steve had seen my tribute to the Godfather, and contacted us about doing a similar painting, but with the cast of Caddyshack.I was going to put them on the nice, perfectly manicured grass of the golf course but I decided to put them in the rough. I thought it fit the characters better, plus I wanted to hide stuff in the plants and trees. I hid the name of my wife, Janice, in the flowers. It was a fun painting to do, partly because of the movie itself and partly because it’s an outdoor scene and you have the full spectrum of light and then you have golf, which is the most colorful sport and garish, especially in the late ’70s. It was supposed to be a movie about Danny Noonan, but then Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield totally took the movie in a different direction. I only left a few cast members out and I put the main four characters front and center. I was totally finished and getting ready to varnish it and I had the lightning in, but not the bishop. I watched the movie again and decided I had to put the bishop in.”
